My daughter thought Eddie Murphy was singing “Michael likes to potty all the time” instead of “My girl likes to party…”

I believe it is “kiss the sky”
Here’s the lyrics:http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/j/jimi_hendrix/purple_haze.html
This one is really funny, at least to me, lol.
I once thought the Vanity Fare song Hitchin’ a ride was the bitch is mine. Also, CCR’s bad moon -there’s a bathroom on the right
Misheard Lyrics are referred to as ‘Mondegreens’
Blinded by the light
Wrapped up like a douche
Another runner in the night…
kevbo, what are the actual words to that one??? cuz thats what I always hear but cant figure out what it is… looking it up is not an option. dont wanna. ;)
Revved up like a deuce
(as in the car—and I had to look it up on Wiki)
Even knowing the lyrics it still sounds like douche.
We used to say wrapped up like a douche without a rubber in sight!
My SO was signing along to Neil Diamond one day.. Reverend Blue Jeans (Forever in Blue jeans). ha ha!!
And let’s not forget CCR’s old standard There’s the bathroom on the right! (instead of Bad moon on the rise)
secret asian man…
Everytime you go away you take a piece of meat with you…
is that you baby? Or just a brick in disguise.
elton johns Island Girl…... ” I love girls”
Shes a b*tch…. ow!
in place of “shes a brick house”
“I can’t hide” from “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” sounds like “I get high” to me.
@AstroChuck: Apparently Bob Dillon thought so too. When he met The Beatles he told them that he liked the song where they said “I get high.”
I thought they were saying I get high too!
In the A.F.I. song Silver and Cold, “Cold in life’s throws” sure sounds like “Golden nostrils”. The lead singer’s pierced lip and tongue probably do not do much to help in his annunciation, but its a good song, nonetheless.
@breedmitch-At the time they met Dylan, the worst thing they had done was take uppers, something they had been doing since Hamburg. Dylan was surprised by that and thought the song referenced getting stoned. By the time they were filming “Help!” the Beatles were smoking pot constantly. That’s what “Got to get you into my life” supposedly is about (though Paul now denies this). I honestly thought they were saying “I get high” until a few years ago. Even knowing the correct lyrics it still sounds that way to me.
I thought they were saying I get high until this thread!!
