Suicide is self centered and makes you a waste of the resources the world spent on you.
Getting kicked out of military school.
I dont know about my biggest mistakes, but here are decisions i will always regret:
1. Going to the anti-Prom in High School – -> I need to get rid of my non-conformist behavior
2. Rejecting MIT and Princeton for UMass – -> i love UMass but my mind will always be taunted by the idea that i could have had a better future if i went to an elite school
3. Selling my premature web OS to a company because i didnt have faith in it – -> I need to sometimes stop being so judgemental and just do what i want
Oh yea the explanation, well I’m sure that if I didn’t get kicked out then I would have had an easier of time with high school.
@Del- your biggest mistake was suicide? :O
Mine would be not caring about high school because my parents wouldnt let me go to the one I wanted. That was a dumb move. Because of it, I didn’t go to college and now spend 48 hours a week at a job that I hate.
A hiring decision that ended up costing me time, effort, slight depression, loss of social life and motivation. Took me a year to work through.
I learned that if there is anything iffy about an applicant – even if I can’t put my finger on it – there’s probably something there and I shouldn’t go for it.
Continuing to talk to someone all of my friends warned me about -> I learned that I should listen to people close to me more often because they saw things I was blind to.
Thinking Fluther was just another social networking site and that I would only log on “a few minutes a day.”

If I didn’t do anything exactly the way I did them, I might not be exactly where I am now, and I have to say, where I am now isn’t bad at all.
that being said, if I could change the past without affecting the present, then I really wish I wouldn’t have started dating my best friends huge crush. yeah, i fuc*ed up. I wish I had a closer relationship with my brother when we were younger.
@wildflower: I thought you’d be depressed about your Mac…
My biggest mistake was not taking anti-depressants during college…
I actually have unipolar mania
About my mac?? You mean my jacket or computer?
I know the jacket’s last season’s colour, but it’s not that bad.
doing a bunch of hard drugs starting at a young age. i barely remember being 16–19.
@buster That’s probably for the best. (I do remember.)
Has to be starting to smoke at age14. What a stupid thing to be still doing. One mistake that is very difficult to stop.
Not pursuing a certain romance. I learned from seeing her again, the regret, the disappointment at myself, and eventually from studying what I’d made it mean and how it fit my other patterns.
Recently, my mistake was not staying the night at someone’s house. I think you know who you are.
Yea Allie i really wished you would have stayed, we could have had a lot of fun :P
uberbatman: Haha, yeah, me too. Rats!
In countless occassions in my life, I never act fast enough when windows of opportunities open up before my eyes. Daily, I have try to remind myself to just do it and free myself from the innertia of inactiveness. It’s shouting out loud in my head “get off your ass and get on with it already”!!
Being born with a mental illness I wasn’t aware of until it was too late which has made it so difficult and caused much pain for my family is the biggest regret of my life.
The first one was not going to College when I was younger.
The second was having my son at 17. I know that sounds bad but it’s true.
The third was getting married at age 22 to a man I KNEW I didn’t want to marry. The whole day before the ceremony I was hoping something would come up so I’d have an excuse to postpone it. I finally did divorce him.
