What are the odds of another Flutherer arriving here with a cat named Milo?

Asked by gailcalled (54647points) August 11th, 2008

How to differentiate. Milo major & minor? Milo pere et Milo fils?
Milo & Milo Jr.? Milo I & Milo II? King and crown prince? Age before beauty. Pearls before feline?

Milo the 1st is all yours, Gail.

Carla may disagree. Altho I think her Milo is a kitten.

augustlan's avatar

Then, yours is definitely the King…all others must defer.

my dog is named milo

And my older grand-nephew is also Milo. My sister and I are often at cross-purposes when discussing our Milos.

Aisyna: What kind of dog? How did you come up with the name?

aisyna's avatar

He is an 11 yr old Jack Russle and i was 5 when i got him i have no idea where i got the name

Well, now… it is a small world. Why, there is a MacBean and a McBean right here on fluther!

gailcalled's avatar

One of you has to alter the name just a little. Here we are talking only about cats. And don’t forget mcbealer. We want to differentiate among all the Macs and Mcs.

McBean's avatar

Do you think Carla would rename her kitten McMilo?

gailcalled's avatar

Carla; where are you?

Funny but perfect suggestion, McBean. (You could be McPinto, McLima, McString, McAzuki, or McPea.)

The cat(s) obviously need middle names. In my very small high school class, there were 5 of us with the same first name. We were all called by our first and middle names as well. There was one other with both my first and middle name, so she was the only one who went by just one name, I still go by both, but that was the way my mother intended it in the first place.

Milo Milo as in Catch 22? (MY maiden name was Finkel..How does Milo Finkel strike you? Bad idea, I think)

aisyna's avatar

milos middle name is Malo, its spanish for bad, so he is Milo Malo Garcia

Th Baby Names Book has his to say: “The meaning of the name Milo is ‘Uncertain, perhaps peaceful’. It sounds like an accurate depiction of your life with Milo. How about calling him Upp?

Knotmyday's avatar

Is his number listed?

sorry.

AstroChuck's avatar

Can’t you just use their last name?

gailcalled's avatar

Milo Major would be Milo Wald Calder Major. I rather like Malo; but too late to change now. And we were here first (whines Milo’s staff).

AstroChuck's avatar

Malo, as in bad?

aisyna's avatar

yep thats my dog milos middle name :)

gailcalled's avatar

Or Milosovitz, Marshmilo, Miceroni, Amiloaminute. Many possibilities but Milo remains regally Milo. Give me an “M.”

augustlan's avatar

“M!” :)

Thank you, Aug. We’ll do the rest telepathically, OK :-)

Our Hawaiian cat had the middle name of Ono, which means good in Hawaiian. It’s also what my dad said when he came home and discovered we had rescued another cat.

We also have a cat named Milo. But his full name is Milo the Invisible. He is a feral rescue and has not come to believe that people like him and mean him well yet.

Maybe he will someday.

If we can ever find him.
