What was your high school class song?

I stayed back my 12th grade,so I don’t know .

It was the 70’s, who can remember back then?

This will totally date me…It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday by Boys to Men.

@tiny, we choose Kenny Rogers and that came out many years before my graduation…..and that was my 8th grade Catholic school graduation. Misread the question but that was the one that stuck in my mind…

@trudacia I thought I had your age all wrong. With Kenny Rogers I would have put you in your early 40s.

@tiny, ahhhhhh!! getting up there but thankfully not close to 40 yet.

No offense to those in their 40s of course..I’m just not close to dealing with that. 30s are tough enough.

That’s what I was afraid of.

It certainly has since I graduated. No such thing then as a class song (or sex, drugs or rock and roll. The scary guys carried a pack of unfiltered Camels rolled up in their white T-shirt sleeve.)

Good Riddance by Green Day. I wanted it to be “Two Thousand Years” by Billy Joel. The lyrics are perfect:

They wouldn’t choose it because the song said “Two Thousand” and we were “2001.” We argued that since there is no “0” class, we WERE the “two thousandth” class. They got there way. MAN, but valedictorians can be awfully stupid sometimes.

We had two, Good Ridance by Green Day and Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson. We all agreed that two was better than one.

We didn’t have an official one, but the song that stuck around for an unreasonably long time was Boys and Girls by Good Charlotte. Great vid, too.

Does every HS. class have a song? Because I sure can’t remember having any.

I don’t think my highschool has class songs.. but this thread makes me wish we did!

My prom theme was “I will remember you”, by Sarah McGlauflin. I remember think that for a high school graduating class of 800, the second line, “Will you remember me?” seemed somewhat appropriate.
