If FLUTHER was your own website, how would you change it (if you would) and why?

This is NOT an invitation to FLAME or make rude and insensitve remarks. It is intended as a way for me to find out how others feel.
To make sure that your own opinions are not tainted by mine, I will offer no opinions or suggestions at all, on this thread.
Any comments, “PRO” or “CON”, will be of your own origination, and not prompted by any of mine, one way or the other.
I have voluntarily excluded myself from this discussion, because no one cares what I think, anyway.
Your thoughts?

If fluther was mine, I wouldn’t allow threads like this one. Sorry Jack, but I’ve always thought this type of thread was very rude.
I consider Fluther my own website. And I like it fine as is.
If Fluther belonged to me, I’d change its ownership by giving it right back to Ben and Andrew (but first, I’d make them promise to never hand it over to anyone else).
Great answer as usual, Harp.
I don’t see what’s wrong with this question.
I also like Fluther just fine just the way it is, but in the spirit of brainstorming, I offer what follows:
If Fluther were mine, I’d give more points to great questions making them more valuable than great answers in the hope of raising the general level of the discussion.
make it easier to find ppl into the same things that you are. for disscussions.
i want a fluther mobile. i NEED a fluther mobile. come on, don’t leave me hanging! Just a taste… please?
I agree with Marina. In my opinion, Interesting questions are much more difficult to create than good answers.
Also, would it be rude to mention the search? I just know they are working on that.
@drhat, would this work for you?
Fluther is practically perfect in every way, as long as I get my daily “Chuck“le.
sometimes I wish I could personally block certain things, that’s as specific as I will get
When I have problems with search, I just go to the mighty goog.
And here I was picturing jellies lazily circling on a contraption of metal rods and thread.
@rob that giant train makes me feel inadequate
I would use @username as a protocol to send a message to username.
That way, you could still get replies without following 9,748,012 questions.
Though I guess this wouldn’t work for me because I prefer the semicolon.
Actually, I prefer the colon. I just didn’t want to say that because it sounds gross.
@AstroChuck: Anyone you’re addressing?
You’re silly.
I prefer a colon too. I don’t know how well my body would function with just a semicolon.
I like a man wearing a nice cologne.
Maybe after you reach your lurve-giving ceiling, you should be able to give them your own lurve?
that’s a great idea, nimis.
I ain’t giving anyone my lurve. It’s mine! Do you hear me? Just step away!
@AC. I would think with a semicolon, Chuckster, everything you do would be half- (you know the rest, unfortunately).
Ah, Seesul, points to you, woman! Good one.
Add a “Next New Question For You:” line at the bottom of the page.
Shrub: Thanks!
Astro: What I really meant to say was:
Maybe after you reach your lurve-giving ceiling,
you should be able to give them AstroChuck’s lurve?
Aug: Don’t they have the Newborns on the right hand side sometimes?
I forget which screen…
@Nimis: They do, but not questions for you…you have to click on that on the top right of the page, to see them all on a different screen. It would be handier to have it at the bottom, with the “Next Activity” line.
ps: This is not my original idea…someone asked a question about this a while back, and I thought it made good sense!
My response to this post was because the question was asked right after this one. I think Jack had a little burr under his saddle at the time he posed this question, just for the record.
Scamp: Yes, the timing could have been less passive-aggressive.
Nevertheless, it’s become a good opportunity to discuss possible changes.
That may be true. But it just seems like bad manners to me to openly discuss what could be better about the site or what we would change without an invitation from Ben and Andrew. I just kinda feel like we are slapping them in the face when we do this. I don’t feel comfortable with this. To me, it’s like being a guest in someone’s home, and criticizing their taste. I’d feel differently if they asked us what our thoughts were. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, ya know??
Scamp: I think by being here and continuing to use this space, they can pretty much figure out that we all love Fluther. I don’t think they’re that sensitive. I think in the end, they would just want what’s best for the community. Even great design can benefit from feedback. We’ve just created our own suggestion box.
Though I do kind of wish someone else had started this thread.
The thread has validity in and of itself regardless of the questioner.
I think that our founders have shown themselves very interested and responsive to what the Fluther community wants in the site. By responsive, I mean they listen.
I also think they are grown-ups running a business. I don’t feel like I’m in their living room—at best, their business.
I think discussion about the site is healthy for the site and the community. I think input from a wide range of people (many of whom are responding only to what they see written) could lead to new and interesting ideas.
Neither Andrew nor Ben from their posts here and from their blog writings and from their policies on the site seem like they are looking only for cheerleading yes people. It is out of love for the site that people discuss the concept of making it even better.
Chuckie, are you having an orgasm?
I wish. Just showing Ben and Andrew that I am, indeed, a “yes man”.
YES!
This is way to much to handle, I’m now pressing the “stop following button”. I was just drinking milk and it came out my nose.
New suggestion: In addition to tee shirts, Fluther should sell some sort of bibs to catch the various food and drinks that come flying out when we’re reading and laughing so hard.
And along that same vain, Fluther Depends would come in handy too!
Hahaha…this is a good example of when it would be nice to give someone more lurve than just +5 for an answer.
Astro: If it were kosher, I’d totally give you 5 more of mine.
