I love avocados. Love ‘em. I could eat them raw for the rest of my life. I’d be content. But my right brain is screaming for variety. Help me help my brain. How can I prepare avocados (besides guacamole, which, in its purest form, if I’m not mistaken, involves a crushed-up lizard) that will both satisfy my cravings for healthy plant-based fats and green pasty-goodness and my brain’s need for variety?

You’ll have to look up the recipe, but there’s such a thing as avocado pie. It’s the signature dessert at Orlando’s Restaurant in Taos, NM.
put them on salads! So good. I eat them with a spoon, but I sprinkle garlic salt on them for some “zest”
Try it! You’ll be pleased!
mix them with shellfish such as crab its real good…I personally like mine mixed with crawfish.
If you figure out some good avocado recipes and somehow need more, you can have my lifetime allotment. Good luck in your search.
Dry/Sensitive Skin Facial mask
1 egg yolk, 1 heaped tea spoon of runny honey, 2 avocadoes (mashed banana is a good alternative)
1) Mix all the ingredients together and apply to your face
2) Apply to your face and leave for 10 minutes
3) Wash off with warm water
i have heard of people making avocado smoothies and I think I have even heard of avocado soup! my friend also introduced me to throwing avocado slices on top of stir fries!! it’s delicious! and i once dated a guy who would put avocado slices in his pasta, and my host family in guatamala made a yummy brothy soup with chunks of avo. Have fun and report back!!
I enjoy avocados on virtually every sandwich I eat… instead of lettuce or spinach, try a combo of sliced avocado and sprouts
Avocado egg rolls! With chilie dip. Inspired by Cheesecake Factory!
I once put mashed avacado in hair long ago when I was a kid after I read in a magazine that it is to add shine or nutrients, I forget. A bad idea for someone with light hair! It turned green! LOL
Mix them with whole fat yogurt and a bit of fresh lemon. A wonderful snack. (I guess that is a bit like guacamole—but easier.) I also remember a delicious avocado cold soup with pretty much the same ingredients—and some chicken soup—all blended up. wit h a dash of your favorite spice. I also just eat them out of the shell with lemon juice and a spoon. Umm—good.
Indonesians make great coffee-avocado shakes. I know that sounds really strange, but when I was a kid it was the only way my mom could get me to eat avocados. They’re delicious.

Shellfish was a great recommendation. My dad used to make curried shrimp salad and serve it in slightly hollowed out avocado or papaya halves—beautiful and delicious!
love and support them, but don’t spoil them rotten!!
Just had avocado tempura with a spicy soy sauce at Morsels Restaurant in Ruidoso, NM. The avocado was cut to a
“wedge fry” size. Not bad, although the avocado flavor is muted somewhat.
In Brazil they make a very simple dessert with avocado, lime juice, and sugar to taste. It’s really great!
Put fresh avocados into hot chicken soup, along with fresh uncooked onions and tomatoes. I had this for dinner almost every night in Mexico, since I don’t like much other kinds of Mexican food. But this was delicious.
I remember my mom eating avocados sliced up with milk and sugar in a bowl. Never tried it myself, but she absolutely loves it. Plus those are two things you likely have sitting in your kitchen already.
Make an Avocado ‘mayo’. Blend avocado with a little olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until thick and smooth. It makes for a great bread spread and is good in chicken, fruit and pasta salads
