What to do?

See that the “I really like” is in your imagination if you don’t know her well enough to talk to her. Then think of topics that might be of interest to both of you and talk to her about them. If that’s hard, the next time you want to ask someone something, see if you can ask her. That way it’s normal and you can find out if you actually like each other in practice.
