Has anyone tried the Master Cleanse

the 10–14 day diet where all you do is drink water, lemonade, cayenne pepper. did it actually make you feel better, was it worth it (I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A LOSE WEIGHT FAST scheme, I just wonder if it really does make your body feel better to do this once-twice a year)

lol lemonade huh. Sounds like someone came up with that crazy idea and tried to market it. It’s almost as bad as the Japanese foot pads that “relieve your body of toxins”. Drinking plenty of water is good for you but if you want to actually feel better try exercising and eating lots of fresh fruits and green vegetables. You shouldn’t deprive your body of the nutrients it needs for that long because your body will enter “starvation mode” and you will start to metabolize muscle which could be detrimental to your health.
a colon cleanse can do wonders for your health.
I have heard mixed reviews about the master cleanse. I know some people who have loved it. If you can get through it, and if you have two weeks to spend chained to a toilet, then I say go for it. I’m not a nutritionist, though, so it might be worthwhile to consult a professional. I’ve just heard that the constant need to go to the bathroom is a MAJOR downside.
It is not a new concept. The reason its been around for so long is because its very effective. If you’ve got the fortitude to go through just one week you will never be the same. It may apeal to you at first as a quick way to loose weight but you will soon after see that it leaves behind some lasting effects. Just try it so you can form your very own opinion.
I’ve heard positive results from the people who’ve tried it. And they heartily recommend it.
Sounds crazy to me, but hey, I’ve never tried it.
You might consider getting a physical or at least touching base with your general practitioner just to be sure you’re not at risk in some way.
Sounds like a dangerous fad to me. Have you asked a doctor or a nutritionist?
Occasional fasting is good for you if you are in good health. Studies have shown a reduction in cardiovascular disease.
