So i’m going on a trip with my boyfriend and my sister and her boyfriend whom is 10 years older than me. So far we’re going to Japantown, Museum of Science, and Coit Tower.. fucking not enough! We don’t want to go to Fisherman’s Wharf or Ghirardelli Square.. pretty much the main places we are avoiding.. any fun things to do on October 16? :[ Help me..

Well, you could always visit the Fluther home office!
I lived in San Francisco for 3 years, and my favorite place to take tourists was Fort Point. It’s a 19th century fort and it sits directly underneath the Golden Gate Bridge on the San Francisco side. Another favorite place was the Cable Car Museum. I found it very interesting and entertaining.

The best thing to do in San Francisco? Have your pick with dozens upon dozens of authentic cultural restaurants of course. Otherwise check out the Japanese tea garden exhibit over there.
To bad the Bay to Breakers wasn’t going on while you are there that is a sight to see.
You could take a boat to Alcatraz.
If you have access to a car, you could drive across the Golden Gate Bridge and visit Sausalito (or take a ferry there), a fun and arty town.
Drive a little further and you can go to Muir Woods, a wonderful stand of old-growth redwoods.
Eat at Chinatown or shop in the shops there. Get dim sum.
@marinelife I really regret not taking the boat to Alcatraz when I was in San Francisco last month.
I really like wandering around North Beach and The Mission District, as well as Golden Gate Park.
How much time do you have?
Drive down Lombard street. Eat dinner in North Beach. Visit Chinatown. Ride a Cable Car.
The Presidio is fun to explore. you can rent a bicycle and ride across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and take a ferry back.
and the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park is next to the Tea Garden and across from the Academy of Sciences.
Take the cable cars to Chinatown and have Dim Sum for lunch there.
Visit the Japanese Tea Garden, have tea there if you like.
If you have a car, head to Muir woods to see the giant redwoods
In late afternoon, drive or take a ferry to Tiburon, have Mexican food for dinner at Guaymas on the terrace overlooking the San Francisco skyline reflecting in the water. The Chicken molé is highly recommended.
