What do you think of the new Windows phone ad?
Finally, an imaginative and appropriate piece of advertising. This might convince even me to buy a new cell phone. Who says that there are no new ideas? Look at this

I see what they’re going for, but all I can think after seeing it is “How’s a new phone supposed to fix that? Won’t it just be more of the same?”
I’d love to be able to throw a baseball at the head of rude, phone-obsessed people!
Interesting.
That’s all I got to say.
I write ads, so I tend to be skeptical about any product living up to its advertising—especially in this case when its designed to wash the bad taste of previous MS-enabled mobile phones out of our consciousness.
Personally, I think the world needs fewer mobile phone brands, styles, platforms, etc., not more, so I don’t plan to even look at these phones. I love my iPhone 4.
Clever. The ad addresses the now-known issues with constant connectivity, in a novel twist. Not, “Has 10k features that you can use simultaneously!” Especially considering Windows’ reputation as a business tool, as the smart phones were originally supposed to be.
Will the product meet expectations? With the OS be worth anything? Time will tell.
I like its concept because it connects with my feelings about the insane ubiquity of cell phones. The irony, of course, is that it’s pushing more cell phone use, not less.
