You know, songs you might get crap for if someone caught you singing along.

Dylan, Young, Simon, CCR, Pink (not the chick – actually, she can sing) and Queen.
…. @zen_ don’t mention musicals, I’ll be here all night thinking up lists. I didn’t even think of that. I could have just listed the entire soundtrack to half of my favorites and been done for.
Yeah? So where’s the lurve?
Okay, these are really bad and I should probably be shot.
Barbie Girl – Aqua and many more by them.
MmmBop – Hanson * smiles *

A few by Fergie like London Bridges, Clumsy and Fergalicious.
And I like a lot of old school Backstreet Boys. (NSYNC can suck it!)
I will also always support Britney. WOO.
And I agree with Tubthumbing, but I don’t care what anyone says – that song rocks.
I’m sure from this list, @jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities has lost faith in me.
… What does it mean when I like most of the songs on everyone’s lists so far?
I can only think of one:
Christina Aguilera – dirty
@zen_ I’m ready for that public flogging now.
Depends on who I’m with, naturally. If I’m with my brothers, they shoot me looks of disdain if I know the words to mainstream hits. If I’m with peers, Billy Joel is out of the question. In general, singing out loud embarrasses me because my talents lie elsewhere.
Here’s a list though, of songs that I enjoy that are considered plain annoying nowadays. Or are just out of fashion. Or just obscure.
1) Burnin’ Up – Jonas Brothers
2) Girlfriend – Avril Lavigne
3) SexyBack – Justin Timberlake
4) Baby – Justin Bieber
5) Teenage Dirtbag – Wheetus
6) True To Your Heart – 98 Degrees
7) Upside Down – A*Teens
8) You Make Me Feel Like Dancin’ – Leo Sayer
9) Come On Eileen – Dexys Midnight Runners
10) The Twist – Chubby Checker
11) Escape – Enrique Iglesias
12) Hooked On A Feeling – Vonda Shepard
13) Wouldn’t It Be Good – Nik Kershaw
14) Walk Like A Man – The Four Seasons (too much falsetto)
15) It’s My Party – Lesley Gore

@FutureMemory I flogged flagged your answer – does that count – or do actually want whips and shit?
I don’t have musical guilty pleasures. I unashamedly love bad pop, eurodance, showtunes…
Here are some embarrassing selections from my collection (half of these I keep just because they are campy and make me laugh):
1. “Love Story”—Taylor Swift
2. “Jump Then Fall”—Also Taylor Swift (I am generally not a fan of her music, but these two songs were so sweet and uplifting)
3. “Ice Ice Baby”—Vanilla Ice
4. “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?”—Culture Club
5. “Love Machine”—The Miracles
6. “Lovefool”—The Cardigans (love me, love me, say that you love me! lol)
7. Cher’s “Believe” album
8. “Sunglasses at Night”—Corey Hart
9. “I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight”—Cutting Crew
10. “Keep It Comin’ Love”—KC and the Sunshine Band
11. “Strip”—Adam Ant
12. Any ABBA music
13. The Grease theme
14. “We’ve Got Tonight”—Bob Seger
15. Lots of ‘80’s hair bands, like Motley Crue, Whitesnake, the works (however, I’m not ashamed of my love for them, so maybe they shouldn’t go on the list).
If I like a song that 99.9999999% if the world deems sucky, hey, I just own it. I’m not embarrassed at all by my musical choices. I mean, what’s wrong with Sussudio by Phil Collins?
“Guilty pleasure. Pfft.
Ooh, Fifteen is a good number.
Okay, let’s see… 15 songs (or albums, or bands, or whatever) I won’t play when my husband is in the room:
1. “Lady Marmelade” – the movie version. It’s not at all embarrassing to like the original. ^_^
2. “Right Kind of Wrong” – Leeann Rimes (I think) from the Coyote Ugly soundtrack
3. Everything on the “Footloose” soundtrack, from the title song, to “I Need a Hero” to “Metal Health”. It’s awesome.
4. Pretty much anything by the B-52s.
5. “Moskau” – Dschinghis Khan
6. The first “Savage Garden” album. Sometimes you just have to sing “Break me, shake me, hate me, take me over!!” at the top of your lungs.
7. Backstreet Boys – a few of the songs from the first two (international, not American) albums. Shut up, I was ten when I got the first one.
8. Meatloaf. Everything. I fucking love Meatloaf. This shouldn’t even be on this list because I love Meatloaf so much. ^_^
9. I could fill the rest of this list with Anime soundtrack songs, particularly Gundam Wing and Outlaw Star, with some Escaflowne and Evangelion thrown in for flavor.
10. Brent Spiner – “It’s a Sin to Tell a Lie”, from the “Ol’ Yellow Eyes is Back” album, that I can’t find to save my life!
11. “Dragostea Din Tea” by O-Zone – yes, the Numa Numa song.
12. Boys II Men and All 4 One. Yes, I love them both.
13. “Rose is a Rose” by Poe. I don’t know why I consider this embarrassing, because it’s pretty awesome, but I think it merits mentioning for some reason.
14. Gregorian Chant.
15. And last (but certainly not the least embarrassing), the soundtrack to Muppet Treasure Island. “Cabin Fevah…. Yeah!”
@Seek_Kolinahr I love Meat Loaf too, going to see him in concert next month for the 5th time and I don’t feel guilty at all!!!
This song just got a bunch of nominations for something, and I had to check it out. It is wonderfully infectious, and has that subtle inner message. I was tapping my toes right away!
@filmfann I love that song. I like the Glee cover even more. Obviously, it’s the clean version, “Forget You.” And Gwyneth Paltrow sings it. She’s ace. :D
