This one made chill bumps pop up! “Twist And Shout!”

In 1966, my brother and I drove to St. Louis (450 miles) and attended their concert. It never stopped raining through the whole concert, but we had a ball. We did not have a dry thread on us.
What is/was your favorite Beatle song?

My mom used to play their tunes on the piano when I was a little girl.I am looking at her piano sitting in my living room right now. One day I will learn to play it:)
I loved all the Beatles songs. I played in my band and we sang over 100 Beatle songs. I was lucky enough to be the lead singer.
A Day in the Life. I just love it.
There’s hardly a Beatles song I don’t like—and some that in recent years have resonated with me in ways I wasn’t previously aware of. But one that always stops me cold is THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD. So prophetic.
Apparently, it was composed with a much simpler arangement, but producer Phil Spector added heavy overdubs and his other signature stuff that changed it completely. But I love the arrangement.
Across The Universe
Words are flowing out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither wildly
as they slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting through my opened mind
Possessing and caressing me
Jai guru deva om
Nothing’s gonna change my world
Nothing’s gonna change my world
You know I need someone.
When I was younger, so much younger than today
I never needed anybody’s help in…....................
@Aster Ooh you sly old fox you!! Yeah, just thought i’d quietly sing away to myself :¬)
@ucme darn it all. Now I’ll have that song in my mind for hours. I’ll have to go get out my album.
@Aster Go for it! Yesterday, all my troub…....oops done it again! :¬)

Now it looks as though they’re here to stay
Oh I believe in Yesterday
Suddenly, I’m not half the man I used to be
There;s a shadow…
I had every album ever created by the Beatles and my EX broke them all trying to get even with me for some reason. They all had the original album covers on them too. I even steamed off the one that was banned from America.
Don’t you dare challenge me young lady!!
It’s been a hard day’s night
And i’ve been working like a dog
It’s been a hard days night
I should be sleeping like a log…..:¬p Stick that in your fancy pipe & smoke it madam! XD
You say yes, I say no, You say stop and I say go go go.
@ucme my senior year in high school, my first girl friend…that was our favorite. Love the beat…
All of them, but “Blackbird” is one of my very favorites.
@janbb that one is very different than any other Beatle song!
I don’t want to spoil the party so I’ll go,
I don’t want my disappoint to show.
Oh theres nothing for me here
So I will disappear
If she turns up while I’m gone
please let me know.
@ChazMaz you got me on that one…never heard it to just now!
E Rigby is really wonderful. Thanks, boo.
You say goodbye… gorgeous. Thanx again.
I have been to the Dakota many a time. Had an opportunity to go there and hang with Carly Simon and the kids.
But, I was too lazy that day and did not go. Things we sooooo regret.
Chazzie, you have plenty of time; too young for regrets !!
Oh dear, what can I do?
Baby’s in black and I’m feeling blue,Tell me, oh what can I do?
She thinks of him and so she dresses in black,
And though he’ll never come back, she’s dressed in black.
Oh dear, what can I do?
Baby’s in black and I’m feeling blue,
Tell me, oh what can I do?
I think of her, but she only thinks of him,
And though it’s only a whim, she thinks of him.
Oh how long will it take,
Till she sees the mistake she has made?
Dear what can I do?
Baby’s in black and I’m feeling blue,
Tell me, oh what can I do?
Oh how long it will take,
Till she sees the mistake she has made?

My Mum was a Beatles nut back in her day. I used to mock her remorselessly when she recalled her happy teenage memories. Mop haired scouse gits! They kind of grew on me I guess :¬)
@MeinTeil So, a lot of them are your favorite?
Baby you can drive my car Yes I’m gonna be a star Baby you can drive my car
Too many to list. Just a few of my favorite favorites:

My favorites shift from time to time. But my current favorite John Lennon song is his alone – “Imagine.”
I have to chose?! :]
Strawberry Fields.
@ucme Help is my favourite too!
Choosing just one is difficult but I’ll show love for George Harrison and say Something.
Looks like “Strawberry Fields” is the winner @amazingme !
The Long and Winding Road is my favorite all time, but really like all of them.
Revolution
I Am The Walrus
Twist and Shout
@BoBo1946 Yayy!
Strawberry Fields is pretty amazing. :]

A Day in the Life
Flying
Blue Jay Way
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Although it wasn’t performed by the Beatles, my favorite Lennon tune is the Plastic Ono Band version of “Yer Blues” that they cut for the “Live Peace In Toronto 1969” album.
The only YouTube clip of this version that I could find was the live one.
I’d link it but unfortunately Ono caterwauls over Eric Clapton’s magnificent solo at the end.
Thankfully Lennon decided to exclude her (AFAIK- at least I couldn’t hear her) from the album track.
“Strawberry Fields”.....puts me in a lovely & dreamy-sweet “altered state” without any “Help From My Friends” =)
Luv them all, really.
“Imagine” gives me chills.
Penny Lane, et al.
Wow, just wow!
The children asked him if to kill was not a sin
“Not when he looks so fierce”, his mommy butted in
If looks could kill
It would’ve been us instead of him
