What do you know about podcasts?

I started a podcast. Kind of. This podcast is hosted on YouTube as audio only. I want people to be able to download the mp3, or however it is normally done.

I want to host the podcast somewhere so people can download it. I don’t mind paying for it.

I want to promote it, so people can listen to it.

What else do I need to know? How do I get the name out there?

I can’t help you with the promotion part, but assuming you have your source file as any MP3 then all you have to do is set yourself up with a blog..

-1:1 internet link is a great host and they offer free domain registration
-Wordpress is a great blog system that is free link
-And if you don’t want to use the built in / free wordpress themes you can buy other cool ones for not to much link

then the promotion part.. word of mouth and using SEO (Search Engine optimization) you will get yourself out there.

Once you have found a place to host your podcast, you can submit the feed URL to iTunes and have them include your podcast in the iTunes Store. More info can be found here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/creatorfaq.html
