How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Imelda Marcos had 2,700 pairs. Can anybody beat that?

Five.
One pair of Doc Martens boots. One pair of CAT boots that I bought because the DMs aren’t comfortable. One pair of ordinary trainers (sneakers to you Americans). One pair of Chucks. One pair of smart dress shoes. I wear the CATs the most.
Right now, 5.
Nice sneakers, grungy (working in the yard) sneakers, a pair of dress flats, a pair of flip flops and a pair of plain, black “shoes.” I’m not sure how to classify them, they are just a plain shoe. Dressier than a sneaker, not tall enough to be a boot, but not quite a dress shoe.
3. 1 pair of workboots. 1 pair of shoes street shoes. and 1 pair of sneakers.
Five for me, if you count slippers. I have a pair of trainers, two pairs of brown shoes and a pair of black. I’m surprised, I thought most people owned lots of shoes.
Less than 30, mostly sandals. For work shoes, if I find a pair that fits well and has style generic enough to go for a few seasons then I’ll buy them in every color offered.
I only wear three on a regular basis: sandals, purple low-tops, and black oxfords. I need to get a pair of boots for cold weather as I intend to travel this winter into climates that will be significantly colder than California and will require different footwear.
I’m one of those people who owns the same pair of shoes for way too long.
Enough for a family of centipedes. ;)
I have 5 pairs.
Two pairs are heels, the other three are for everyday use.
Many more than I use at the moment because my feet are a bit hard to fit, if I find some that work I buy many many so I won’t run out for years! Sad comment on my lack of fashion sense.
According to those that know me, way too many. I say a girl can’t have too many shoes.
<< “Femme, but, no more than 10 purses”.
I have about 20 or so, give or take a few.
Five. My girlfriend has about 70 lol…...
Close to 75 pair. Hate to say that I just went through all my shoes and donated about 50 pair to the Salvation Army.
1 pair of sneakers
1 pair of hiking shoes
1 pair of sandals
I’ve never bought for looks or brand. Always comfort, utility, and price.
I have one pair of slippers, which I rarely wear. I have 2 pairs of fairly old, busted up shoes which I’ve retired, but can’t bring myself to throw away. One pair of “nice” shoes which I’ve worn on probably 6 occasions. And one pair of shoes that I actually wear day-to-day.
So, 5.

7 and a half (I lost one shoe)
I know I own way tooo many pair of shoes; well over 100 pair. I guess I’m making up for when I was young, and had to wear one pair of shoes until they wore out. And yes, sometimes the sole would wear out and my folks cut out cardboard soles to put inside the shoes.
8 pairs of sneakers (mostly high-tops. I have a thing for high tops.) , 1 pair of boots, 4 pairs of flip flops, 3 pairs of general shoes, and 3 pairs of dress shoes that I never wear, because I vowed my feet would never be uncomfortable again. Half the sneakers, my work shoes, and one of the flip flops see regular use.
The only reason I have that many is because I suck at throwing things out. If it’s possible that I’ll one day want my battered shoes to wear out manure-scooping or house-painting (two activities I never do), the shoes stay.
Right now I have about 50 pairs… sandals, slippers, evening shoes, boots etc etc.
I attempt to check them out each year and donate what I haven’t worn for some time to a charity shop… although this doesn’t always work LOLL
I own 8 pairs of shoes all of whicI wear regularly. Such a low number of shoes makes me a poor excuse for a woman I feel!
@pearls We can’t resist buying shoes can we? :)
@partyparty I love a good pair of shoes. The only color I don’t have is white except for sneakers. Always buy them at the end of the year when prices are lower. Try to get those that never go out of style. You won’t see me, however, in anything with a 3” heel or more.

@noelleptc I’m 5’7” and I told want to appear taller. Besides, I look for comfort when buying shoes.

@noelleptc Believe me, I have done that on several occasions myself.

@pearls Think we are exactly alike! I don’t have any white shoes, I don’t have anything over 2” heels, and buy classic styles :)
