Though I've been here for two whole days now, and have posted and asked questions and have 37 topics - still no "activity for you" in the inbox?

You can have mine. I have 220. HELP! It“ll take me all night to get rid of them.
You’ve got enough friends you are following and plenty of topics you are interested in. Something must be amiss in FLuther’s back end.
Adding a topic to your profile will give you new Questions for You, not Activity for You. You have a lot of general topics, so you should have a few questions in that section after a while. However, answering and asking questions should give you Activity for You questions, so I’m not sure what’s up. Either nobody’s responding, or it’s something the admins should know about.
It takes about two minutes to see every new question on the site in a 24 hour period.
Try clearing your cache and restarting your browser. If that doesn’t do the trick, and you’re not getting any activity by tomorrow, please send an email via the “contact” button up there ^^, and we’ll look into it.
Maybe it’s just a quiet time and few people are asking questions? My activity is correct: the stuff I’ve asked or following. Questions for me should be about the many topics I’ve added – and ther’es only one. Slow day?
It’s the weekend, so that could have something to do with it. Also, the matching system uses the questions you answer in addition to the topics you list… maybe you just need to answer more questions for it to get a good ‘read’ on you? I’ll zero mine out, and see if I get any new questions.
Can I get fries with that milk shake?
Since I zeroed mine out, I’ve received 4 new questions, so it’s working for me. Are you getting any yet?
I got four from Jill – she “forwarded” them to me. I have like 50 topics listed now. Maybe the flutherbot is overwhelmed – or thinks “fuck it” it’s zen – he’s here anyway let him look up his own questions while I deal with the newbs.
Fool it once, shame on you. Fool it twice…or thrice…or quadrice (or whatever the hell that word is)...well, you get the picture…
True dat – maybe he’s just ignoring me.
I wouldn’t worry about it. I have about a 1000 (there were over 2000 at one point) and I’m never going to look at them all.
You get Activity for You by following or answering (which automatically puts you in following status) questions.
Wow, @Lightlyseared – and I thought my 339 was getting out of hand. I wipe them all out occasionally, though.
Good point, maybe the programmers can use this to make the site more interactive.
