Do you ever wear slippers out in public?
I am right now. But they aren’t so slipper like, they can maybe pass for shoes. Except for the fuzzy inside. Sometimes though I see girls out wearing pajama bottoms and slippers that are obviously slippers, and it’s 2pm. What is with the pajama as normal clothes thing?

Only by accident. One morning I started driving to work and later noticed I forgot to take off my slippers and put on my flip flops. Not a big deal since I was one of the first guys to work and I immediately changed into a uniform.
@rts486 – I too have arrived at work in my slippers, the only difference being I don’t get changed at work. It all led to a rather comfortable yet slightly humiliating day.
only if I’m nipping out to my car on the front for something

I don’t wear slippers at all. Ever.
I use to wear slippers all of the time. To the grocery store, to run errands, etc. I even wore them to school before they cracked down on it and said we couldn’t wear them anymore.
I had a pair of these although I only wore them in the house so they wouldn’t get dirty.
I don’t know why I always preferred to wear them over something like a cute pair of sandals, but I guess I got over that phase because I haven’t worn slippers in a couple years now.
I don’t wear them even in private. Which has led to many stubbed toes.
I wore my slippers when flying back from Australia to England, made it much easier to slip them off and on during the flight and was extra comfy around the airport. As to what anyone else thought, I was travelling with a six-month old baby, so didn’t have the time to care.
Here in Britain, the idea of the “slummy mummy” has hit the headline a few times, most notably when the Tesco supermarket behemoth banned pyjama wearing from their shops.
No but I would if I could find some that look exactly like shoes. ;-/
I do not own slippers. I am always barefoot at home. If I need to step out, I put sandals on.
@Vunessuh Those piggy slippers are all kinds of adorable :)
Depends on what you mean by “in public”. I wear mine outside from time to time to take the trash out or to pick something off the driveway when it’s cold outside (and I’m wearing the slippers indoors anyway). But the few times that I’ve left the house dressed for work and still wearing my slippers I’ve caught myself before I get to the car, and come back inside to change.
The day I don’t notice and wear slippers to work will probably be a good signal that it’s time to stop going to work.
All the time. I have a great pair of Uggs that I’ll wear on days that it’s not too wet to damage the leather. I wear them to class all the time and sometimes to work; they’re warm, they’re comfortable, and I’ve had them for almost a year now without smell issues. I’m not really a fan of the whole wearing pajamas in public thing, but I think slippers (or at least shoe-like slippers) are making an honest move into casual public clothing.
@Vunessuh lurve your link. Wish I had the guts to walk around wearing those.
This man came to bingo one night wearing pajamas and house shoes. it was apparent he was a redneck. he was teased all night long. he came in a week later with regular street clothes.
Pajamas and house shoes belong in only one place….........a house, not in the public.
I only wear moccassins, not slippers. They look okay. Kinda puffy. Unflattering in general. But they’re so comfortable.
I don’t have any slippers so, no.
No, just indoors, and only when it’s cold.
Yes, when I’m not driving I slip into what ever shoe happens to be easiest to reach, since I don’t wear shoes in the house. I own one pair each of driving shoe, hard sole Nordic slipper, soft sole bootie and moccasin.
No! Isn’t that something? I have never worn my house slippers in public.
Never. I haven’t ever worn flip flops in public except as a child or a tourist to Hawaii but where I live now then people wear flip flops into 4 star restaurants. I have seen girls who wear pj bottoms in public and I think it looks ridiculous but that’s just me.
