If you could live with one or the other, which would you choose? Science or art?

We see art everywhere, in literature, music, etc…Just life in general is full of art. Religion counts as a form of art doesnt it? From people’s arguments it surely is (stories, tales, mythology etc).
At the same time, science is everywhere. Biology, physics, chemistry etc.
If you could live without one of these, what would it be and why? What would the world be like then?

Art…the expression of life would be my choice to keep.
Most of the great artists of the past were also the great scientists. I don’t think you can seperate one from the other. Best example is Leonardo da Vinci.
Art. I couldn’t live without music. I’ve never gone a day without listening to it, or reading a book. I can deal without learning about biology, or horticulture, but I love art. Nature will always do it’s own thing, but art is all our own. But of course you can find art in nature too. See! art is everywhere, and it’s inescapable.
@WestRiverrat has a point too.
Science can be art too though. Here is the ovary of a deep sea angler
Art does not exclude science. But, science can exclude art.
Art, although science can sometimes be beautiful too.
art… care about it more, it’s more “my thing” but we need medicine!
An existence lacking in either would be no comfortable life.
Without science, we couldn’t see the stars.
Without art, we’d have no expression.
@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard is right. It wouldn’t be comfortable at all.
I would agree that life wouldn’t be comfortable without either. But, the question was to pick one! C’mon @Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard…what would it be.
It would truly suck to give up art, but science is more important to humanity IMO. But the two aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive.
The question is flawed, all art is math.
@MissA, okay then, if I had to give up one, I’d give up art. very, very reluctantly
If I ever had to choose, I would choose science. Counter-intuitive, since I love photography, drawing, writing… but you can’t solve environmental or medical problems without science, and those are the issues we really need to tackle.
