based on where you live it could be a name or a number. is it named after a president? a historic person?
whatever it is, you call it just what the traffic reporters call it OR you have a local name for it that says what it REALLY is or represents.
on the map, we know a stretch of expressway that runs from downtown to the south side of chicago as the “Dan Ryan.” for those who travel it daily, though, it’s the “damn ryan.”
what is the name of the highway you travel all the time? does it have local characteristics travelers should know about or a nickname?
