Do people become more mellow the longer they participate in Fluther?

I have been on Fluther for about a year. The other day, I looked through some of my questions and my answers and comments and I was sort of shocked at something I noticed.
In the first few months, I had a true edge on.
While I have never been afraid of expressing my opinion, and while I have never suffered fools particularly well, I may have been a little obnoxious in the beginning.
But, I also believe that I have cooled off a little bit in the last few months.
Still obnoxious, but perhaps not as offensively obnoxious.
Am I just getting older?
Have the mods finally beaten me into submission?
Does this just sort of happen when people hang around Fluther long enough?
