Invest half and spend the rest booking as many vacations as I could in ten minutes.

In only ten minutes? That would be extremely hard to pull off – even if you invest it all. In that case, I would give it all to a charity – that way I know none of the money will be wasted and it’s going to a good cause.

Buy one house in a very expensive location, actually 1 mil doesn’t get you much in a lot of neighborhoods.

In only ten minutes, there’s no way to spend that much. You can’t really do much with cash at all. If I was near a post office, I’d buy as many money orders as I could with as much of it as I could. Otherwise, I’d try to convert as much of it as possible into valuable commodities. If I had, say, a few hours, I might buy a bunch of cars from a dealership’s lot, but you can’t close a car deal in ten minutes. Or maybe buy every LCD TV in Try-N-Save, but even that’s not possible in just 10 minutes.

Donate $500000 to humane shelters and animal rights activist etc. I would give my Dad $200000. And I would give my friend $200000. The last $100000 I would use to clean up the forest in back of my house.

If I could spend the money in ten minutes let’s remember that the money appeared in the first place so we can suspend our disbelief ;) I’d buy myself a house, arrange for my mother’s driveway to be fixed, invest in the small business my boyfriend wants to start, and donate the rest. I’d also buy a few pies in there somewhere.

Well, since there’s no way to spend all the money on something worthwhile (or even on junk!) in such a short time, can i give all the money to a family member to keep for me until i find something to buy? Hehe. Otherwise, realistically speaking, i’d try to buy me and my husband a brand new car each. There won’t be time to do anything else. :(

On second thoughts, i’d get my husband on the net and tell him to find a another house to buy ASAP while i’m looking for cars.

Great Caesar’s ghost, is that from where I am now or do I have travel time? There is no way I could spend it in ten minutes from right here I would not have time to get to where I would need to spend it. If I had time to get where I could spend it, one mil would not be enough unless I went and purchased 3 Lamborghinis, I can get to that dealer.

@YARNLADY If I had the million in ephemeral soon to cumbust money I would not have time to drive to the bank to deposit it before it went poof to go online or use it by phone or anything else. If I only have 10 minutes from the time I get it in my hand it will have to be somewhere I can spend cash.

@YARNLADY That is OK it would be that with anyone because there was nothing said on the question as to when the clock started ticking on the money so I assume the moment your fingerprints touch it its game on. Now if it was on a credit card given to me and the money was already plasticized and ready to go, THREE LAMBORGHINIS online and the money is GONE!! Yaow!!
