Does anyone have a great pumpkin seed recipe?

Asked by Likeradar (19583points) October 20th, 2010

I found a recipe online last year and it turned out terrible. Can anyone give me a great, idiot-proof pumpkin seed recipe please?

Thanks!

Just for the seeds?

250 oven, clean and dry the seeds well, mix the seeds from one pumpkin with a teaspoon or two of olive oil, sprinkle with salt, spread on a baking sheet. Bake until done enough for your liking, stirring occasionally.

Add chili powder and/or some pepper to @crisw‘s recipe. I made these a lot for my ex, who loved them so much that she ended up pestering me about how I made them after we broke up. Really simple, but good.

Clean, wash and dry the seeds well.
Lightly coat the seeds in vegetable oil by adding to a bowl and stirring.
Add cinnamon and sugar.
Bake at 325 to 350 for 20 minutes (or until slightly crispy).
Enjoy. :)

You can do all about but when cooking seeds . Try Lawry’s seasoning salt! I put my seeds at 350 for 10 minutes and flip at five. I do spray with pam.

Oooh, I’m liking @DrasticDreamer‘s cinnamon and sugar idea. It’s mostly going to be kids eating the seeds, and they love the sweets.

Here’s a recipe for pumpkin seed brittle

And here’s a recipe for simply roasting the pumpkins seeds you take out of your jack-o-lantern here

@Kardamom
What a great idea! I am doing that this weekend.

I made @DrasticDreamer‘s sugar and @crisw/@MissAnthrope’s recipes… both big hits. Thanks!

Good, I’m glad it worked out for you. :)
