If religions were movies, what would IMDb list as "Goofs"?

Christianity has a lot of continuity errors. In one shot a bunch of women are at Jesus’ tomb, but in the next one there’s just Mary. At one point the Temple curtain rips before Jesus dies and then it rips later when he dies as if it hadn’t already happened. In the scene of Jesus’ baptism you can totally see the holy spirit reflected in the water as he waits for his cue.

Bart Ehrman has written up a rather exhaustive list of goofs. What a nerd.

There’s also some seriously bad science fiction in a Mesopotamian flick where during a fight one god bites off and swallows another’s testicles and is impregnated with his unborn children. I wish I could remember the name of that one. It’s right up there with the guy that fucked the mountains and sired rocks. It was all very Troma.

Um, just to clarify, I didn’t mean real movies about religion, but “accurate” depictions of real religion.

Goofs:
* Several times in the movie, each religions states that it is the only correct or chosen one.
* Immediately after stating one of the key rules is not to kill, people are killed to convince others.

@papayalily I’m working on it now, but it’s isn’t as engaging as Misquoting Jesus. I’d go with that one if you’re interested in Ehrman’s research. Jesus, Interrupted is just a bit…listy.

I must have misinterpreted the question. I thought it meant what goofs have there been in religions or religious stories.
