How do our questions migrate to QuestionHub so quickly?
I don’t ask a lot of questions here, but when I do it’s because I’m really interested in an answer, and I have probably Googled for it first. I asked a question this morning, and then Googled it later… and found my Fluther question repeated word-for-word at QuestionHub.com… about an hour later, give or take.

They grab them from the RSS feed. I think it is a shitty practice. All they have to do is set up a script to grab the RSS feed and parse the results and then they slap ads on them. At least that site attributes where the question comes from.
Still a scummy businesses.
@johnpowell I’m not so sure it’s a bad practice. So long as it is attributed, the odds of getting meaningful, useful responses probably go up substantially by having it mirrored. The downside is you’d need to know this is going to happen, and that you can look for additional feedback by searching there.
That would be great and all if they didn’t have a place to answer the questions and instead simply linked back to Fluther so the response could be posted here.
If I was Fluther I would call my attorney on Monday.
@johnpowell I agree with how you feel, mostly. However, here is a snippet from Fluther’s copyright info:
“You may redistribute, reproduce and/or display any posted content on this site, provided:
You prominently mention Fluther.
You attribute the original author (unless they are anonymous) as they are listed on Fluther.”
@CyanoticWasp I guess I would want to ask next, are they attributing you as an author?
Questionhub.com seems to be a competitor only in that it aggregates challenges from everywhere it can, as opposed to just one community. Is there a way to cross post answers for the same question? In an effort to get good answers, I think that opening up the question to the largest possible audience is in the asker’s favor.
@notdan not that I noticed, or care enough to try to look again.
@notdan :: I personally think this is complete bullshit.
@johnpowell Tell me about it. Their page layout is awful!
@notdan I just looked at a couple Fluther questions on QuestionHub. They do not “attribute the original author as they are listed on Fluther.” Thus, they violate Fluther’s copyright laws.
If they’re not attributing, it’s probably not cool. I’ve sent this question to Bendrew to see what they have to say.
There is also the issue that it creates a new avenue to recruit new users.
Andrew says they do link to Fluther and attribute the authors, so they’re not breaking any of our rules.
I see it now. They just have the author’s name super tiny and in a lighter color to make sure it stands out.~ Thanks, @augustlan.
