Which song would you recommend?
I have a difficult time relaxing at times, but I have found that mellow songs such as, “Mad World” by Gary Jules and “It Ends Tonight” by All American Rejects, give me this unexplainable relaxed feeling. Besides the fact, would you recommend any songs with the following? Thank you.
-Something calming and mystical (doesn’t need to have vocals)
-Any song that is calming with violin incorporated
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Try this first you might really like it!
Mystic’s Dream by Loreena Mckennitt
Not sure if these are the kind of things you might like but about 30 seconds of listening should tell you whether I’m on or off the mark. They’re more in the sort of “classical” range.
Vaughn Williams’ Lark Ascending is very nice and soothing and if you want violins it’s got plenty of them.
Eric Satie’s Gymnopedie is pretty, sweet and soothing too.
Caribbean Blue by Enya. The song stands by itself. The video adds a bit of magical whimsy.
If you like stuff in foreign languages then the opening theme to Elfen Lied is REALLY pretty!

As whole albums, I recommend Takk… by Sigur Rós and For the Birds by The Frames. And if you enjoy those, both bands have wonderful discographies worthy of a listen.
Particular songs that I find relaxing are “Hoppípolla” by Sigur Rós and “In the Deep Shade” by The Frames.
Just about anything by Norah Jones, particularly Lonestar.
You probably will not recognize this name or his music, but here goes:
Anything by Jackie Gleason and his Orchestra. the violins, in his music, seem to be crying. beautiful music, beautiful songs, beautiful way to go to sleep and relax.
Its on Youtube. i like the song More and The Shadow Of Your Smile, especially.
Do you know the album Origin by Evanescence? ‘Tis most ethereal and gothic, and I know it manages to sweep an air of calm over me. :P
Also music like the Council Of Elrond and Lothlorien from the Lord Of The Rings Soundtrack.
Eternal Tears of Sorrow, what I would say is somewhere around melodic black metal: they’re also very relaxing.
If you like Mad World, then you really ought to give a listen to Tears For Fears, the band who originally wrote and performed that song. The album that song came from is called “The Hurting” and they had a number of hits with the album after that one, “Songs From the Big Chair”. Everybody Wants to Rule the World is a standout track from that one.
This always works for me. They’re a British boys choir called Libera. Listen to their CD called Angel Voices. It totally floored me the first time I heard it and I’ve probably played it over a hundred times. Although it is based in Christian choir music, it is so much more than that. You absolutely do not have to be a Christian or be religious at all to be transfixed by this sound.
I forgot about these songs too:
“The Lilting Banshee” by Todd Denman and Dale Russ on the album called “Reeds and Rosin
“The Book of Days” by the Taliesen Orchestra on the album called “Orinoco Flow—The Music of Enya”
“Labor of Love” and “Hella Bar Talk” from the 2009 Star Trek Movie
“Dream Star” by Bond on the album called “Classified”
Stealing Tomorrow by Great Lake Swimmers is great, and sounds like just what you need.
