What liquor would you put in this Halloween punch?
We’re having a Halloween party this upcoming Saturday, and among the other food and beverages we thought punch would be a good idea. The classic Halloween punch with the orange soda and rainbow sherbet (you know, the one that looks gross.. but has a flavor that most people like.) I can’t find any non-virgin recipes for this punch, and I’m not much of a drinker myself, so I have no idea what kind of liquor to use.
We have another drink that uses vodka, so I don’t want to use vodka in the punch.
Any other ideas?
Even another gross looking, good tasting, but simple to make punch recipe would be cool.

If you don’t want to perturb the flavor, I’d stick with vodka, honestly. Other liquors (rum, gin, whiskey) have flavors of their own that will interfere too much with the punch flavor.
I would suggest a coconut or passion flavored Rum. I have worked in the liquor industry for the last 12 years.
That’s easy, just use that Three Olives: Orange Cream-sickle Vodka stuff.
Spiced Rum would mix beautifully with your gross concoction however sticking with Vodka is the safe route. Rum will intensify a hangover though drinking that much sugar sounds like a hangover no matter what.
Here’s a “virgin” recipe for Slime Punch for Halloween.
I would dress up as Oscar Wilde and spike the punch bowl with Absinthe, but make sure you have plenty of rooms for visitors to stay the night.
@lillycoyote how cute! I don’t know if I would drink punch out of a pumpkin, but, still adorable.
@Patamomma and @judochop, some type of flavored rum was what I had in mind, but again… I’m not much of a drinker. In other words, I’m clueless.
Oh i’d imagine any spirit will do :¬)
