Are women more likely to apologize to their s/o than men? Why?

I think it’s good to say “I’m sorry, I..” and I do. Sincerely.
Do you say “I’m sorry” to your s/o regularly and do you think men do it a lot less often if at all?

I do think women tend to apologize more than men. I kind of figure that men are supposed to be all macho and be right all the time and to most some men an apology indicates weakness. But what do I know, I’m just an over-apologetic girl!
When I’ve erred in some way with my staff, I make it a point to apologize. But I don’t say “I’m sorry,” which I think has become an empty cliché. Rather, I say “I apologize,” looking the person in the eyes when I say it. I usually don’t include the word “sincerely” because I think that’s implicit in a heart-felt apology, no more necessary than the word “honest” when you tell someone you have something to admit.
As to whether women do it more than men, I don’t know. I do it when I feel I should.
And to be “sincerely honest,” I sometimes find it as difficult to apologize to anybody as I think many people do, men and women.
^^^^^^^^^^^^ I never say, “sincerely” or any of that. I shouldn’t have put it in the Q because it’s confusing what I meant to ask.
