Can there be anything worse than life itself?

It was pretty bad.
Worse than many people’s lives.

Then there’s Cool as Ice, Vanilla Ice’s big screen debut.
That one has got to be worse than life.

What!?! But life is Great!!!! However in the interests of the spirit of the question i’m going to say, performing oral sex with Barbara Bush?

As bad as life can be, it can that wonderful too. That is what makes the bad parts bearable.

Trying to figure out the meaning of life. Why are we here??

Life is life, it’s all in your attitude.

I would say look at some of the pictures of 3rd world nations where poverty abounds and you can see many children laughing and enjoying their lives and on the other hand there are many that are well too do and miserable. Conclusion is what @Coloma your happiness is in your personal attitude and one more point. Anyones happiness is their own making, no one can make you happy.

Sometimes there’s nothing better than life itself; sometimes there’s nothing worse.

I will make one more point. No matter how bad you feel or how bad you think it is. You can always find someone else that is worse off.

There are many many things worse than life: wars, ill-health, hatred, lack of love, poor self-esteem and on and on. I’d take life over those things any day.

I compare the screwed up-ness of the human programming and sense of entitlement to a life of wine and roses to animals that simply in-joy basking in their beingness.

Regardless of an animals level of comfort, survival needs being met, etc. they are always fully present, fully engaged in the current moment of their aliveness.

They are, simply, alive with their aliveness and have no criteria for enjoying such.

Yep, when have you ever seen an animal sitting around complaining that they can’t enjoy life because they don’t have a relationship, certain amount of cash in the bank, need to lose 20 lbs.? lol

Chaz, my neighbor just said, “we heard you laughing all the way over here!” “I’ve never heard you laugh so loud!” My office is behind my house and I had the door open and I guess everyone in the neighborhood heard me laughing.

How can you know how great things are or can be if you have not been through some harsh things? Hopefully there are more great things than harsh. But the harsh can paint the great things a more varied and vivid way.
