Car cd player died..Tips for evolving to digital music?

Asked by BluRhino (1401points) October 29th, 2010

So my beloved car cd/shuttle player died..It looks like USB is killing CDs now. Almost all new car audio is usb/ipod etc…I understand it is time to move into the digital age; (sigh) The new player I have in mind (used; from a friend) has everything. (I do not have a mp3/ipod player, or really need one. I am ok with usb.) Any tips for a dinosaur to move to digital? I would like an easy site to browse/download from, too.

The iTunes store is going to be your best bet for browsing and buying music. It has a pretty user-friendly interface. Most illegal options for downloading music are a bit harder to navigate.

As for USB… Once you have downloaded the music files to your computer from iTunes, you should be able to simply copy them on to the USB memory stick (as you would any other file), and stick it into the new player.
