Are you always calculating what you have to pay for, bills etc.
Do you have a calculator or pen and paper at hand all the time?

Oh gawds, yes. I have our household expenses estimated in my head and constantly adjust for when there might be some extra money or, if we’re going to be short. I’ve got printed out lists I scribble on, updating constantly. There’s no need for me to wonder how much money gets left in my checking account because on payday then everything’s already designated out, if there’s more than $50. left then that gets transferred to savings to await the next unforeseen disaster or forgotten bill. ARGH!
Yep. My dream is to one day not have to.
No, my wife keeps track of what bills have been paid, but other than that, we don’t fool with it.
In my head I am and there’s always less than I want! Turn the heat down, the lights off, do you need that deep a bath?!
It’s a lot easier when you don’t have any debts.
Always have and always do.
My wife and I have managed to work our way out by scrimping and saving. The only things we owe on now are a couple of thousand on her car, and several thousand on my Harley, both of which we bought before we met. We rebuilt a home, paying as we went, so we don’t even have a mortgage anymore.
