After all, if Fluther is saying it’s not true and I don’t look like Chupracabra…then someone must be saying it. (Laughing here!)

Just the great unknown “they”.
That was so mean of them to say
True, not everyone can be as good-looking as I am. Do not fret though, I am sure you are passable. ~
What?
Am I missing something?
well, it’s only a slight resemblance. Most people wouldn’t notice at all.
But no one on fluther is saying that Chupacabra looks like a Chupacabra? Tha’s pretty weird.
Anyway, it must be National Chupacabra day today or something. They did a piece on Science Friday, on NPR today about them. A professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary biology at the University of Michigan believes that the legend is the result of sightings of coyotes with extremely advance cases of sarcoptic mange. It’s very interesting.
You can download todays show here
The show starts with the eel guy but the eels are even more interesting than the sarcoptic mangy coyote chupacabras. The life cycle of the fresh water eel is pretty amazing. Who knew they were such extraordinary creatures?
Is there a lillychupacabra in our future?
Mangy?
Aren’t we being a bit judgmental? ~
I see an emerging business opportunity in hair product here…Chupacare.
I confess. It was I who started the rumor. I was drunk at the time, though, and didn’t mean it! Can you ever forgive me?
@MissA A lillychupacabra? Oh my god! It hope not. It’s nasty business, sarcoptic mange, is and what it can, when unchecked, to a coyote is just awful. I get regular check-ups from my vet.
@chupacabra Just relaying the science, not making any judgements. :-)
Hmmm perhaps then “mange” can explain the evolution of man from apes. Yes, I can see the science behind it now. ~
