Yes it was my favorite President Ronald Regan. He by the way is the best of all time Presidents not yet on a coin.
I was thinking Nancy Regan, but I think she coined the phrase “Just say no.”
Hmm, what a surprise! I did a little digging and found an article that says Nixon started it. Here’s an exerpt:
Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). President Nixon started this war in 1969, and President Reagan kicked it into high gear. It’s been a full-throttle battle since, even through the Clinton years.

Ha scamp you are 100% correct, Nixon started the war on drugs, its funny how many people think it was Reagan.
Maybe ‘cause Carter was loose about it & Nancy was horny about “just say no.”
