It’s never mentioned in the book, but it needs to be. Edward is so smitten with Bella’s scent. They all are. They’re vampires and he blood smells extra delicious. Sooo when Bella’s period hits, what then?

Its sad to me that I know this… but Stephenie Meyer actually answered this question once. I think I saw it on her website. Apparently Edward can smell it but he’s too polite to mention it. And apparently its not appealing to him because its “dead” blood. Gross.
