Ever crossed wires with another jelly, with unintended but humorous results?
I was trying to guess the CT hometown of a jelly. It was described as a vice capital, with tons of liquor stores, tatto parlors and sex clubs. So I cross referenced and searched all of the seedy stuff the state had to offer. I got to see a whole new side of CT. If you want sleaze, don’t overlook this one. I’m also a nature lover and along the way with my search, I also learned the state has a lot of natural beauty and some great parks that looked interesting to me. I forgot to share this. As I was in the process of throwing in the towel on my search, I mentioned to another jelly (they’re related) I’d learned a ton about CT and was thinking of visiting sometime, thinking of the nature I’d like to see. She thought I was visiting for the all time seediest sex, booze, and ink crawl, and her message back was enough to to leave me LMAO. I was thinking of one thing and her message was completely the opposite of what I expected. Has this happened with you and please share it with the rest of us.

We’ll see. As it happens I just this second finished a pm to someone I had spend an hour or so researching, to, like you, figure out where they live. I’m not sure I succeeded in my mission, but it was an interesting journey—more of a personality than geographic, as it happens. No humor yet. Like I said. We’ll see.

I asked this about another jelly, but feel free to mention miscommunications outside of fluther. We’re communicating all the time. Mixups can happen anywhere so feel free to generalize on this.
More than once I’ve posted a response to the wrong Jelly in a thread, then gone back and forth for awhile, having two different conversations that made no sense until I realized my mistake and done the red-faced “oops, sorry” thing. There are people here who think I’m a nincompoop.
@JilltheTooth When I was new to fluther I was pm with one jelly, another jelly sent me a pm, and for awhile, I didn’t realize I was messaging with two different jellys.
There was one Jelly who shared with me where he lived in a PM. I told him that I already knew that as he was on the Fluther map. He was shocked, as he had never given this information publicly. I sent a link, and after he said that he wasn’t on it. It dawned on me that I was looking at another Jelly with a remotely similar name. I was embarrassed and he was relieved. Hopefully, we can both laugh at it now.
