Did you guys notice you can now link your Twitter account to Fluther?
Just to let everyone know, we’ve enabled a feature that allows you to link your Fluther account to your Twitter account. Every time you ask a question, you can ask Fluther to tweet that question and a link back to Fluther via your Twitter account. To link your Twitter account, just visit your account page and click the “Twitter Account” link right underneath the “Facebook Account” link. Please, let us know if it’s working for you and especially if it’s not. Happy tweeting!

So- just for clarification- we have the choice each time we ask if we want it tweeted?
It is not an auto- feed?
Oh an it is cool!
Ah, two of my loves. Twitter <3 and Fluther :D
Not to hijack the question, but can anyone tell me what’s so great about this Twitter stuff?
@FutureMemory Read some of this. Twitter is great for a lot of different reasons. Meeting new people, learning things, keeping track of your friends and celebrities and people that interest you. It’s awesome for networking, especially if you’re into programming/design/web dev (theres tons of great people to follow) – it’s great for anyone really assuming you use it in a way that benefits you.
Sorry – penguins don’t tweet.
<—-Doesn’t tweet either. Doesn’t have thumbs.
Milo here; I tend to use a quill pen and parchment and do lovely calligraphy.
Thanks, but no thanks. I’m already overburdened with new fangled technology.
@YARNLADY: You’re a step ahead of me. I am still working on the oldfangled stuff.
Will there be an award for linking your account? There’s one for Facebook and IM.
@Dog yes, you have the option of tweeting your questions – it’s not automatic. Tweeting relies on a checkbox being checked at the bottom of the question asking page.
@janbb, @chyna, and @YARNLADY that’s ok! It’s just there as an option for people who want to use it.
@erichw1504 we’ve considered adding an award for linking, but it’s on the backburner for now. If you link your account and we roll out an award for it afterward, you’ll get the award retroactively. We’re currently working on some other interesting projects related to Twitter, so I’d say an award is more likely when those projects are released.

Cool, spare any details about what they may be?
Sorry @erichw1504 – those details are top secret! You’ll hear about them when they’re officially released. I’d love to tell ya, but I can’t.
@erichw1504 nope, sorry dude. Like I said, you’ll know soon enough.
I only have like 30 followers. So I don’t think if would matter if I did combine fluther with my twitter.
Actually @NuGoonie23, every way we can get the Fluther name out there is a win, even if it’s to just your 30 followers.
I see, I see. So it’s all for recruitment.
@NuGoonie23 well, recruitment plus general interest in Fluther. After all, it’s good to have a multitude of people viewing (as well as answering) your questions.
@camertron: Thanks for dropping by. I was afraid we’d heard the last from you.
@gailcalled Never! I may be a little quieter, but never gone for good!
