Do mods have a schedule?
Are there scheduled times that certain mods are meant to be online?
If so, who sets the schedule?
Some type of guarantee that someone will always be here? Or do you just wing it?

There isn’t a schedule. We all pitch in where and when we can, depending on what real life stuff we’re juggling at the time. There are something like 14 of us and I believe we have a bunch of different times zones covered, which hopefully helps increase the likelihood that one of us will be around when needed.
There are 2–3 mods that I suspect are cyborgs because they are melded to Fluther and they don’t ever seem to sleep.
@MissAnthrope Lol, no, I meant the ones who never sleep and are just doing Fluther like it’s the Matrix.
I’m the only one that does have a schedule. I’m generally on every night from 1AM to 5AM EST (at least). My daytime hours vary, but I’m usually on sometime in the afternoon for at least an hour or two. Then I also pop in when I have extra free time.
I suspect I may be a cyborg, too.
Apparently there’s a temporally-based geographic distribution so that there are mods in the different North American time zones, another one in the Netherlands, and another one in Tasmania.
Consequently, there’s usually a mod who’s at least awake.
That is because we are party animals. And cyborgs…
@Brian1946 For those who don’t know: Tasmania is a state of Australia. It’s the triangular island at the south-east corner of the continent. Sometimes it will be missing on representations of Australia, and that does NOT amuse Tasmanians. It’s a beautiful place, though I’ve never been there. I hope you don’t mine the OT side point. ;-)
@Brian1946 I might add that I’m in England ‘til January.
California might be over- represented. And for some reason Mods migrate here. We should start a Mod Commune!
@Dog That might be because California is generally over-represented here on Fluther. Seriously, it’s like half the users live there….
Since Fluther started and is based in California, that seems likely.
@papayalily Could be. I never really thought about it. Where is @johnpowell’s map when I need it?
Thanks @Brian1946 !
Yup. There are more.
But if you took area instead of state then the NY area would win. :)
