Put it in the dishwasher. I’ve done. It works. No heated drying cycle. Pull it out and blow it with dry compressed air.

Warning!!!! Do this carefully!!! Got it?

I vacuum my keyboards with my home vacuum cleaner and the crevice tool. I make sure the tool is on the keys and I drag across the keyboard. DO NOT LIFT UP OR YOU WILL SUCK THE KEYS OFF THE BOARD!!! (That sounds a little dirty doesn’t it?)

This method works great and gets rid of all kinds of dust and junk.
Oh, and did I tell you not to lift up or you will suck the keys off?

I think I like the solution proposed by @worriedguy, with a twist: put an old nylon over the opening in the crevice tool, and rubber band it to the tool itself so that it won’t be sucked up into the vacuum. This will prevent anything larger than the mesh in the nylon to be sucked up, which includes the keys themselves.

If you’re talking about a desktop keyboard, go to Target and buy another one for $20, then throw the old one in the trash. If you have a laptop, buy a can of Dust-Air and blow out the dust that’s settled into the keyboard. You can wipe the keytops with alcohol swabs to finish the job.
