At any one time we will probably have between one to two feet or .67 meters on the ground. We’ve had as much as four or five feet at times. Not a good time.

I think it will be a harsh winter like last winter in which we had two major snowfalls of around two feet and one 10 incher.

I’m at the snowline so usually see a few inches, maybe 4–6, but last Dec. 7th we had about 20 inches overnight….I hope we get a decent snowstorm this year too!

Love it!

Aesthetic_Mess's avatar

@Coloma Forgive me, but where’s the snowline?

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

I hope we get alot! Vunessuh is coming to visit in January and she needs to get out in it!

They say that it will be a winter similar to the one we had last year, which means two major snowstorms of 20 inches or more.

I will be happy if this happens.

mrentropy's avatar

I’m not expecting any.

@Aesthetic_Mess

Around the 2500 ft. elevation here at the base of the Sierras, but..it can go as low as 1000 if it is a cold enough storm.

None whatsoever. This is the Bay Area. :)

But I’m expecting a lot of snow at Tahoe.

We don’t get snow where I live, but I’ll be visiting @lucillelucillelucille and I expect to see tons of it! If not, she better drop a whole bunch of cotton balls from her rooftop so I can play and twirl around in them. XD

Hell, let’s do that anyway. That sounds like fun. :D

@DominicX

Major white out over the summit this last Sunday, flakes as big as half dollars, zero visibility.
Scary drive home!

Eight feet plus the three inches we had last week.

None here, probably, which is another reason I miss Arkansas ! But it did snow here in Feb. I think it was unusual.

Brian1946's avatar

0 here but perhaps an inch or two if we go to Portland, Oregon in February, 2011.

YARNLADY's avatar

If we get any snow here in the valley, it will make the news again.

Paradox's avatar

Somewhere between 50 to 70 inches like usual.

Fred931's avatar

None where I live.

Lots where I’ll be just before Christmas.

Aesthetic_Mess's avatar

@Paradox Jeez where is that?

Paradox's avatar

@mattbrowne Looks like it will be a normal winter for me in both the snow and temperature categories. That’s good because 60 inches of snow (my areas average) is more then enough for me.

mattbrowne's avatar

@Paradox – We had the same problem in Germany. Snow from early January till late March. Even our cat was pissed. She stayed inside and pissed in almost every room.

marcelo_pita's avatar

No snow in Belo Horizonte.

Syracuse, an hour North of here, is over 70 inches of snow for December and today is the first day of Winter.
