If the asker of the question says you have a good answer but doesn't give you lurve, is it within your right to meet offline and kick their ass?

I’m joking! But really, what do you think? I know lurve is for a “Great Answer” but if you get acknowledged for your answer surely that’s worth something isn’t it?

Honestly, I forget to give lurve a lot. I get so caught up in replying that I don’t realize that I haven’t clicked GA. Replying and giving lurve are sorta this right-brain/left-brain, active/passive, opposites thing where my brain can’t do both in the same gear. So it doesn’t mean that I don’t lurve you, just that I forgot to click it.
Besides, lurve doesn’t really matter. What matters is that you lurve yourself.
There are many askers who do not give lurve at all. I would not take it personally. You don’t have a right to lurve.
Great question!!!

@marinelife Good answer (notice I’m not giving you any lurve.)
@seazen Where do you live. I’m comin’ ta get ya!
It’s par for the course. Peculiar, but par for the course.
I think that thinking about lurve isn’t a natural thing to do. People are more involved in the content of the comment and responding to that. Lurve is a secondary thing and a lot of people don’t throw it around. I see this happening most often from people with little lurve, so perhaps they haven’t caught on yet.
@papayalily – Oh, I lurve myself, all right.. once, maybe twice a day..
99% of the time if the asker acknowledges that you helped you will get a ton from people that just pass by. I always do.
And most new people don’t see the Great Answer link. But they click on the Thank You one. I get lots of PMs from people thanking me for my answer but they don’t give lurve.
@papayalily GA and so marked. I ditto your answer. That’s me to a tee!
