When soldier’s deploy and they learn to be hyper aroused always watching their backs. Then when Soldiers come home it is difficult to get out of the battle mind. They need to be reset.

Here’s the problem though, we’re on rear-D. So we didn’t deploy, there’s no killer instinct in this platoon, just a whole bunch of diabetic, heart attack having, broke wangs.

Sounds like you are in deep need of a reset. LOL

I’m just speculating here but could it mean needing to bring each soldier to a blank slate, so to speak, in order to build them later to be part of a like-minded team…kind of like what the purpose of the difficulty of boot camp is..

been in 8 years, deployed 3 times, 1 was a 17 month deployment, been on more than 7 combat missions, and have a pretty good sense of humor to go with my award winning personality. Don’t think I need a reset…

Depends on the context. My DI was always saying that. He meant he had to bust us recruits of all our bad habits and make us into useful soldiers instead of just bullet magnets.

When my manager’s husband came home, he needed reset to not order around his kids as if they were the men under his command. It can be easing back into an unstructured civilian life. Plus, if there have been any domestic/SO changes during deployment, that may require some adjusting as well.

I would think that means “resetting attitude” to be consonant with the environment in which soldiers find themselves.
