Has anyone noticed that Fluther is now giving advanced warning of their system going down?

Asked by john65pennington (29273points) November 15th, 2010

I, for one, really want to thank the Fluther team for their advanced notice of down time. normally, there is no notice and we all think a virus has just taken over the system. Question: Have you noticed the warning label stretched across the top of the screen? Way to go Fluther team. Keep up the good work.

I really like the heads up. It’s nice to know. Good job, Fluther. (:

It’s great! I wish other sites would do the same thing. :)

I like that they added a timeframe for about how long they will be down. It’s nice to know about when to come back.

I love it, keeps me from panicking…

I’ve noticed it, but it’s nothing new. Everytime Fluther is about to go down for an update or a fix up, they always notify the community. Seen it countless times.

Well, I, for one, see it as “You might as well get ready for bed in….29….28….27….26…” :)

We do notify in advance when we know we’re going to be down. Sadly, we still haven’t figured out a way to do so when it’s a surprise to us. ;)

I think the time frame is a recent addition, though. It’s nice.

I thought the “Oops, we screwed up” kind of message we got the the other day when it was a an unscheduled downtime event was cute. I’m glad it wasn’t me… ;-)
