Do you have "containment" dreams (see details)

I have dreams with this same theme often, and my sister just mentioned having a similar dream, so now I’m trying to determine if it’s a universal theme (much the way those “late to class” dreams are).
In general terms, I have this reoccurring dream in which I’m trying to contain something in a particular space, but it proves very difficult because whatever I’m trying to contain is able to squeeze through even the smallest crack and I have a very hard time trying to ensure that the space is absolutely air tight. An example is that I dreamed recently that I had a pet ferret but it really wanted to run away, so I was trying to lock it in my room, but it kept escaping through any hole it could find, and I simply couldn’t plug up every tiny crack.
So, do other jellies out there have this dream? And what meaning would you assign to it? I don’t tend to place a lot of weight on the meaning of dreams, but I think this one is fairly transparent – it’s about trying to control every small detail and how impossible that can be.

This is not one I have had even once that I can remember. I have had the chasing being chased dreams of a somewhat regular basis.
I have not, but it seems like you’re trying to box yourself in, metaphorically speaking. As if theres something you would rather do, but you are keeping yourself from doing it. If I were to apply this to what you say on your profile page, it might be something like fighting against being forced to lie in, say after surgery, or something. Your sister may have her own box that she is holding herself in with.
I’ve had similar dreams [in concept], but only once or twice [that I can remember].
The general concept is that you’re trying to contain something, or you’re running away from something – and no matter how airtight you make the space you’re trying to contain or are hiding in, the [variable] gets in or out.
Since the topic has come up, it seems to me that the most common (unwanted) dream that I have is one where I’m backing up in a car… and I can’t stop. (If you don’t drive, you may not be aware that the parking or ‘emergency’ brakes on most vehicles aren’t as effective at stopping a car going backwards.) In the dream the engine is running strongly (or sometimes not at all) and my foot brake and handbrake both are ineffective… and I keep going backwards.
It’s kind of a metaphor for my life, I suppose.
This dream is directly related to something in your life OR a feeling that is created by what is going on in your life. What remains to be determined is whether it is YOU doing the containing you in your walking like or YOU being contained in some form or fashion. If you elaborate on this idea then You doing the containing could mean that you are working on a project and feeling like loosed ends are getting away from you. Could be money slipping away. Could be relationships that you try to keep intact and men who slip away or it could be anything that you feel you need to keep a lid on…a secret or confidence perhaps. When you hear something that starts to resonate with you that is exactly where you want to examine more closely.
IF YOU are the thing being contained than this could be a problem solving dream that is telling you that if you feel repressed than know that there are always ways to leak out…or conversely if there is something about yourself you are trying to keep contained and out of view…know it’s leaking out there anyway. Maybe the cat is out of the bag or you or worried that all your skeletons could be revealed or whatever you ave locked away that you would prefer people not to know or see about you is at risk of coming to light.
If you keep asking these kinds of questions eventually you will better understand what your dream means.
I would say it’s something to do with control… what happens when the things escape?
No.Mine are usually about fighting grizzly bears.
