23 years in a waking coma... could you handle it without going mad?

I just found out this entire story was a hoax. Some people are just freaking cruel beyond all measure… giving false hope to those in similar circumstances. This is awful.

The caregiver is doing the typing so obviously. Was it to gain publicity or money?

Perhaps they wanted to get headlines to support grant requests, or sell the new computer model to hospitals. Maybe they just wanted attention. Sounds similar to Scientology.

I don’t understand why MSN isn’t reporting it as a hoax.
