How about how to send an email on your phone? I know its boring but who cares as long as you get the marks.

There was an old movie I can’t remember the name. A family setting with a father who was a genius professor inventor type. He promoted a thing called something like “Speed Bathing”.

It was a very simple concept and demonstrated fully clothed. It took about 45 seconds to do. He also promoted it as water conservation because multiple people could use the same water. I don’t know if I’d try that, but the concept of speed bathing was valid.

Basically, he set up a chair over a rug… now imagine the rug is a full bathtub and the chair is the back ledge. He dumped his body in the tub to get wet, then immediately sat up in the chair and proceeded to lather up, on the ledge. When finished, he dunked back down into the tub for a quick rinse and Presto! he was finished bathing in 45 seconds.

xoxoxo's avatar

ohh thats a good idea , but on myself ? i have to be up in front of the class alone

You have to do the presentation alone that doesn’t mean you cant have some one sitting up there as model.

my teacher told us the whole point is that we stand up there alone to practice communictions skills

Do a simple card trick.

I had a similar assignment and I demonstrated and explained how to use chopsticks (they weren’t as common in the US as they are now).

I had to do that for a job interview so I chose a subject I really love and know about, dog rescue. Pick a subject that you love and it will flow easier.

Look up a word in the dictionary

What are your hobbies? Anything that can be broken down into steps could have one or two steps as demonstrations.

@RealEyesRealizeRealLies, that would be Frank Gilbreth, who was an efficiency expert among other things. The movie Cheaper By the Dozen with Irene Dunne is based on their lives.

I vote for @Simone_De_Beauvoir‘s suggestion.

Here’s one that could be kind of funny. You start with a roll of toilet paper (on a spool that you have brought in) that is almost empty. You start talking about how you like to keep things clean (like your laptop, the dash in your car, the TV screen your phone etc.) while you are discussing these things you keep pulling off a few pieces of the tissue and furiously wipe the table, desk or podium from where you are speaking as if to imitate cleaning these things. After each item mentioned and your little wipe down, you toss the paper into a small trash can that you have brought with you. At the end of your speech about, which appears to be about how to clean objects, you pull out a band new roll of tissue paper (which you had hidden under the desk) and pop it onto the spool and shout, “And this gentleman is how you change a roll of toilet paper!” Because as we all know, most men don’t seem to know how to do it. They wouldn’t be expecting that THAT was the actual demonstration, not the cleaning of the imaginary items. Laughter, applause, grade: A

You would start out your “demonstration” by saying something like, “With all the new gadgets and accessories out there today, we are constantly having to clean things! Sometimes it’s a real pain. For instance there’s your cell phone (wipe wipe wipe) and when you get in your car there’s the dashboard (wipe wipe wipe) then you get to work and you have to clean off your phone AND your computer screen (wipe wipe wipe) and if that’s not enough, when you go in the lunch room you have to clean the microwave overn, yuck! (wipe wipe wipe, make sure to pull of the last bit of paper from the roll). And this gentleman (hold up the empty spool and grab the new roll and put it on the spool) is how you change a roll of toilet paper!”
