What will happen if my foot keeps losing blood flow?

Asked by flutherkiller (104points) November 23rd, 2010

Lately my feet are constantly losing blood flow. I wake up and go to walk and it feels like spikes. I sit down on my feet for a few minutes and when I go to stand up I immediately fall, it feels like I have two jello boots on. If they keep going numb could that cause any negative affect over time?

You need to tell your doctor about this. It could be serious. Your arteries could be closing off and you could need stints to open your arteries to keep your blood flowing to your feet. This is dangerous if you got a sore or cut on your feet, without proper blood flow the cut couldn’t heal properly. I am not a doctor, I am not trying to diagnose you, but want you to know this could be dangerous and needs checked as soon as possible.

My mom has it is why I knew a little about it. May not even be what you are experiencing at all.

I agree about a doctor.

I have the opposite problem, my foot swells up too much. Unfortunately, problems like ours dictate the need for medical help.

Have you gone to the doctor?
