Does anyone have experience shooting 'day for night'?

What in-camera settings work best? What post-production color correction and effects do you apply?

We’ll be shooting on a DSLR, editing with Final Cut Pro and using After Effects for visual effects & color correction.

There is a French feature film called “Day for NIght“about that subject. It’s fairly old and a feature so I don’t know if it would help you at all but it might.
