How much sleep are you supposed to get?
I fall asleep sometime after 11, and then wake up around 2 and then can’t get back to sleep, so I just lie in my bed until about 7. Is that okay? Or should I be getting more sleep?

“Studies show that people who sleep between 6.5 hr. and 7.5 hr. a night, as they report, live the longest.”
Time
Yup, I’ve always heard anywhere between 6 and 10 hours, depending on one’s age. Teens need more sleep, and their cycles are wacky so they don’t usually “wake up” until about 11am.
3 hours doesn’t seem like it’d be enough for anyone :(
See a doctor. They may prescribe sleeping pills or give you some other advice.
everybody is different, I need 8–9 hours when my husband needs 5–6 hours
Depends on the person but generally it’s about 7–8 hours.
I function best with 8 hours.
OMG, i know this has nothing to do with the question I guess, but last night I slept 12 hours!!!!!!!V :D am so happy for that
Have you tried any herbal supplements like melatonin? I’ve heard some good things about it.
As for me I can’t function properly without at least 9–10 hours.
That is too little sleep. I think you are supposed to get somewhere between 7 to 9 hours of sleep a day. There are times when I had to work 12 to 16 hours a day for 7 days a week so it was impossible to get anymore than 4 to 5 hours of sleep. I left that job after a few months.
Enough to keep from being tired and sleepy. Your results may vary.
Yes, 3 hours is not sound enough to me. But it may be temporary. I have heard of people not sleeping for weeks, and then go back to sleeeping the 6, 7, 8 hours.
No, that is not nearly enough sleep, it sounds like you might have some anxiety issues or something to remain awake the bulk of the night.
I sleep on average 9 hours and feel best with 8–9.
I’d die on 3 hours sleep!
.I am a high energy person as it is, so I figure I need more recharge time. haha
