Parents: how old was your child before you stopped referring to him/her as "the baby?"?

My daughter is 3½ and I refer to her as “the baby.” That is, when I speak to my parents or friends, I will say “I have the baby” or “The baby is sleeping.”

I have no idea when this habit will end. How old was your child before you stopped calling him/her “the baby?”
