Would you ever co-host a comedy podcast?

Maybe next time? Sounds like fun, but I work tomorrow and have never made a podcast, just don’t think I could squeeze it in on that short of notice right now. Good luck finding someone tomorrow, I’m sure someone here will come through.

I would but I think I have work tomorrow night. If I dont end up havin to go in ill shoot ya a pm. hopefully something pulls through.

I could, but I’d be kicked off immediately. All I’d do is laugh uncontrollably at my own stupid jokes. Seriously. I’d be hysterically laughing to point of tears at myself, for something no one else would find funny. My husband is always amazed at my ability to crack myself up. Sometimes, he’ll come into the office to see what’s making me laugh so hard I’m falling out of the chair, and it will be something I’ve just typed on Fluther or Facebook. And I’m not even actually THAT funny.

If that didn’t happen, I’d be paralyzed by the fear of not being clever enough, or informed enough. Or drunk enough. ;) Also, people would hear my voice and think you had a 12 year old on your show. A drunk, giggly, naive, uninformed-on-current-events 12 year old.

I wish I was funny enough… But sadly I’m lacking in the comedy department…

I have been wanting to try my hand at some stand up comedy and can easily write my own routunes.

The problem, for me, is that I live an hour or more depending on the area, out of the city and am not interested in late night gigs far from home.

I am currently considering an idea to see if I can round up some local talent for some summer night comedy hours at a few local resteraunts,bars, in my tourist community.

I am quick with the ad libs and a fast thinker, I feel I could hold my own quite well and would be a quick draw in the improv. zone. Maybe, maybe…;-)

@uberbatman . . . It was neither. I didn’t do one and I am looking for a new co-host. Andy is still on board but not exactly reliable. I need somebody who is gonna not only be another voice on the show but somebody who is willing to help write some material.

I’d like to keep everything about 70% off the cuff but I would like to start writing and producing new material. I think that’s what it’s gonna take to get to the next level.

@Blondesjon ahhh cool. Sounds like a good idea. Sadly my life is far to hectic to even apply for your other helper. I wouldnt mind being a guest now and then whenever I can find some fucking free time. School work ya know fun stuff.

Just wondering. Is it a requirement to get totally sloshed on cheap beer during the show?

And why do you need a sidekick anyway? You seem to be able to bloviate just fine all on your own?
