I have one on my finger on the underside of a joint so it has been hurting for a day now.
How would you get it to heal?

I would staple it back together ;)
Actually,I would superglue it.Really.
Here’s how to superglue a cut together so it doesn’t get infected.
superglue!
(I usually suck my finger at first (when I cut it), then apply a bandaid).
@mama_cakes But with a paper cut on the joint, it will hurt every time you bend your finger.
I would put on some antibacterial stuff and wrap it tightly in a band-aid so I couldn’t bend the finger. You’ll lose progress you’ve made healing it if you bend it and open it up again.
Use Neo-sporin immediatley and re-apply often the first day, especially at bedtime with a band-aid.
The pain is coming from a minor infection and I have found that any cut when treated this way feels better overnight.
Waterproof bandaid and neosporin. Then, tincture of time.

‘Tincture of time’...haha, very good, I like it! ;-)

@Coloma One of my med school professors used that term all the time. It fits! :-)
It’s a paper cut. It can’t be that bad, can it? Try some hydrogen peroxide and a bandage.
Thanks guys! All better.
@flutherkiller More annoying than painful. You use/ bend your pinky more than you realize
