Do the mods forgive me for being a jerk sometimes?

I’ve gotten answers deleted a few times because my sarcastic answers come out once in awhile. I’m just wondering if all is forgiven?

Everyone gets modded on occasion, even the mods. Of course we don’t hold it against you! Now, if it becomes an overwhelming pattern, that’s a problem. In those cases, we send a warning asking you to knock it off. So, you’ll know. :)
They’ve been pretty forgining with me. I think they prefer to intervene as little as possible, but have a job to do in making sure the discussion doesn’t sink into a pure name-calling slug-fest.
Blondsjon is still here. Clearly they are forgiving.
@rangerr Huh? Is this the part where I’m still a n00b?
@etpro I can’t resist, but I must ask you: Exactly what relationship do you have with the mods with all their forgining they do with you.
mods-you can mod out this answer, but I couldn’t help myself-even on this question.
P.S. @etpro I make bad typos all the time too.
They forgive…. I’m a good example. Everyone has been there before. everyone has a “little jerk” in them!
I hope so. I managed to restrain myself twice recently but I may not be able to next time.
I have been modded. It does not seem to affect my relationship with the mods.
Ha! They haven’t banned me and I’ve had quite a few super cranky moments.
Recently I misspelled one word in a question. Sharp-eyes aka @augustlan pounced immediately even though I explained that it was Milo’s fault.
@gailcalled Huh. I misspelled a word and got made fun of by @augustlan, although she fixed it after I begged.
:D
I take a different tack: Based on some of my good responses (helpful and within guidelines) that get modded off for fuck-all reasons (and against all rreason), it falls on me to forgive them.
So far I’ve managed okay.
@jlelandg I hold it against you and think you should be modded more because you are a snarky jerk/best bud of mine non-digitally.
They’ve always forgiven me whenever I’ve been snarky or have been a jerk here. Everybody gets modded occasionally. And @augustlan pointed out it isn’t a problem until it becomes a problem, as in a pattern of behavior; of habitual disrespect and rudeness towards other members.
A few stupid or jerk-y moments are no issue whatsoever! It’s when they start to pile up that we are less forgiving.
@CyanoticWasp: That tune’s getting old. Care to sing a new one?
The mods are humans of course, but I don’t think that the actions required by their job on here matter much with how they feel, or so I’d imagine. I mean it’s like doing my biology assignment; whether or not I enjoy it, it still has to get done.
But just being a jerk every now and then is harmless. It happens to all of us. You’re a jerk, I’m a jerk, you’re all fucking jerks. It just can’t be helped at times I guess, but there’s usually so much more to most Fluther members than that. Even a badass troll or hardcore flamer is dealt with in regards to the rules. Maybe the mod doing the work doesn’t know them or doesn’t give a shit what is happening, they just know they have a job to do.
Or maybe they do know the person and are affected by what’s going on…since all the mods are different people with different personalities and all, it’s hard to say. Every one of them would have to answer accordingly, in regards to their feelings, relationships on here, how fast they get pissed, affected by things, and a countless other number of factors.
If you’re talking about moderator feelings towards you rather than their actions for or against you, then my last bit is even more alla that.
@jlelandg Ha! Thanks for catching the typo. Sometimes it seems that I can’t even right my own writing. Please make forgining above forgiving if you could be so forgiving.
They will if you claim that it was due to Drunk Fluthering….at least that was always my excuse.
